DIAMOND HELIX ENGRAVINGS 

Rodrigo Saavedra Castillo began to discover the potential of diamond engraving on glass twenty five years ago.

Originally a craftsman working with black coral, amber, and precious stones, travels through  his native Mexico and Europe brought him in contact with new materials and techniques. Adapting his skills and discipline to glass was a natural next step.
The transparency of glass makes it highly interactive with the surrounding environment.
Sensitivity to the play of light and shadow also make it a powerful vehicule of expression for diamond engraving.

Rodrigo’s primary challenge is to maximize the possibilities of glass to communicate with its space and interact with viewers.
